CPS, VBS, CVS...

Well, Rett made it back last night. I let Jake stay up and wait for Rett last year and he remembered and asked if he could stay up this year. 3 movies later he was out...

Rett carried him upstairs once he got home but Jake had no idea. This morning Jake was mad at me because he thought I lied about Rett coming home. I told him to go to dad's side of the bed. All was forgiven.

On a totally different note, Rett and I teach 3rd grade Sunday School each week. And by we I mean he teaches and I watch. Last year was our first year and I was in charge of the attendance sheets. I rocked it. This year I got promoted to crafts. If you know me at all you know this is just plain ridiculous. I don't craft. Sometimes I show up to craft socials and bring food to eat while everyone else crafts. I bought a stocking for me to make Rett almost 9 years ago. The only reason I'm holding out that I might finish is because he found out how much it cost and he would flip if I didn't. If anyone out there knows how to needlepoint and wants to make a few extra dollar I'm willing to pay you to finish it. You just have to sign a contract saying that I did it and if you ever tell Rett otherwise you will be shot. Yes, we have guns I just can't get to them (or the bullets) because you know, CPS. Luckily, the people in charge of the children's department gives us very specific craft options each week. I usually choose the least messy options. Well, while Rett was out last Sunday I had to teach the lesson. I pretty much dominated. And by dominated I mean I made the kids read the lesson to me and tell me what they thought it meant. They were pretty close to right with just a few corrections. So I gave them candy.

Speaking of CPS, Jake thinks CPS, VBS and CVS are all the same thing. He tells people he went to CVS to learn about Jesus, that VBS wouldn't let us cut Ben's hair for a year and that CPS gives us medicine. It's a complicated life...
